Unplugged & Connected: A Youth-Led Dialogue on Digital Well-Being

This free event serves as an introduction to a weekend youth theater intensive, centering on the voices that matter most: yours. GCC brings together a panel of youth leaders to share raw, honest perspectives on how constant connectivity impacts anxiety, depression and self-image. This interactive conversation, moderated by Michael Tsappis, M.D., is designed to bridge the gap between clinical insight and lived experience, offering a judgment-free space for young people to be heard and a vital opportunity for adults to listen. Whether you are a student, parent or educator, this event provides the tools to navigate a screen-saturated world and build more authentic communities.

Dr. Michael Tsappis is an attending psychiatrist at Boston Children’s Hospital and an instructor at Harvard Medical School. As a board-certified expert in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Dr. Tsappis co-founded the Clinic for Interactive Media and Internet Disorders to research and treat problematic media use. His extensive work focuses on helping families understand the health effects of digital immersion, providing the expertise needed to help us all reclaim our mental well-being.

RSVP encouraged. Youth participants who register for the weekend program are eligible for a $100 stipend!
