Additional Resources

While the Corner Market Food Pantry is available to supplement and alleviate the food and hygiene needs of student households, we encourage students to seek additional support including SNAP and area food pantries in order to meet your needs. Students who seek additional support are better able to navigate their basic needs during transitions such as school breaks, while seeking employment after graduation or transferring schools.

Many students who qualify for financial aid also qualify for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP, formerly known as food stamps). SNAP is a federal program that assists qualifying individuals and families in accessing nutritious food. It is distributed monthly on an EBT card which can be used to purchase food and non-alcoholic beverages at most supermarkets. Additionally, those in Massachusetts who are receiving SNAP benefits may also participate in the Healthy Incentives Program and receive extra funds to spend on fruits and vegetables purchased at participating vendors.
