Connecting to Wi-Fi

Following are instructions for connecting to GCC's wi-fi network with your personal device.

Laptops

This includes laptops on loan from the GCC Library.

  • On a PC, navigate to Internet Connections, which is usually found on the bottom right-hand side of your screen; on a Mac, navigate to the symbol on the right of your menu bar
  • Turn on Wi-Fi and select GCC Personal from the list of available connections
  • Your browser should open to our splash page—if not, click on the link to open browser and connect
  • On your browser, check the consent box and click Continue to the Internet. Authentication can take a bit of time; avoid refreshing the page during this process.
Android Phone or Tablet
  • Go to Network & Internet in your phone settings
  • Choose Wi-Fi
  • Turn on Wi-Fi and select GCC Personal from the list of available connections
  • When the GCC splash page opens, check the box to consent and click on Continue to the Internet.
  • If the GCC splash page does not automatically open, click on the notification prompting you to sign in
iPhone or iPad
  • Go to Wi-Fi in your phone settings
  • Make sure Wi-Fi is on and select GCC Personal from the list of available networks
  • On the page that opens, check the consent box and click on Continue to the Internet

Please note! You will need to reconnect your personal device to the GCC wireless network daily. For some devices, this requires navigating to your Wi-Fi settings, locating GCC Personal, forgetting GCC Personal and then reconnecting. Devices are required to agree to terms each time they reconnect to the GCC network.
