About the PNC Program
Thank you for your interest in the Practical Nursing Certificate Program at Greenfield Community College located off-campus at the Veteran’s Affairs Medical Center in Leeds, MA. In ten-month’s time, our program can prepare you for a respected career as a practical nurse, who provides direct and competent bedside care for adults and children in nursing homes, doctor’s offices and the community.
Students in this program are required to take a rigorous combination of liberal arts and clinical nursing courses over a period of 40 weeks between September and the end of June. The program prepares students for, but does not guarantee successful passing of, the NCLEX licensure examination. In addition, a direct articulation exists (on a space-available basis) with GCC’s Associate Degree Nursing Program for students who wish to continue their education in an Associate’s Degree Nursing program.
