Access your MyGCC and email accounts. Your login credentials were sent to you in two separate emails. The first contained your username and student ID number, and the second contained a temporary password. Use these to log in to your MyGCC account and set up your permanent password. Once your permanent password is set, you will use these login credentials to access your MyGCC, student email, and Moodle accounts. It may take up to a half hour for your permanent password to work for your student email and Moodle accounts.

Make an appointment to take placements tests (you can request an appointment online. You may not need to take the placement tests if:

  • You have taken ACCUPLACER placement tests at GCC or another Massachusetts community college
  • You have passed a college-level English course or earned a three (3) or better on an AP English exam
  • You have taken a college-level math course and passed with a C or better in the last five years
  • You have taken the ACCUPLACER math test within the last five years

Academic planning. Join a virtual Dual Enrollment Group Advising Session (held weekly when registration is open), or contact dualenrollment@gcc.mass.edu to request an individual appointment.

Registration. Schedule an appointment to meet with a Dual Enrollment Advisor to register for classes and complete the online Dual Enrollment Course Registration Request form, available in MyGCC. Remind your parent/guardian to sign off on the parent e-Signature form (following the submission of your registration request). Look for an email from your advisor confirming your course registration. If in doubt, email your advisor!

Submit immunization documentation. Massachusetts state law requires all students enrolled in 12 credits or more (as well as health occupations and international students) to provide proof of immunization signed by a health care provider. Health occupations applicants must meet additional program-specific requirements.

Pay your bill. Log into MyGCC to check your status, see payment options and to make a payment. Contact Student Financial Services at sfs@gcc.mass.edu with questions.

Attend mandatory orientation. Orientation is required for all new students and students returning after an absence of more than a year. Learn about important college services and prepare for class. Register for orientation online in your admission portal after you register for classes.
