GCC provides students pursuing a degree or certificate multiple opportunities for receiving transfer credit.

How to Apply as a Transfer Student

1. Meet with Us!

Meet with an admission coordinator through a 1:1 appointment or at one of our in-person or virtual events to help determine your pathway.

2. Apply Online

Complete an online application and submit your official high school transcript (or equivalent) and previous college transcripts (if applicable).

Official high school transcripts with graduation date can be sent by your school official via email to admission@gcc.mass.edu, or a physical copy can be mailed to GCC.

Request GED®/HiSET® scores to be at diplomasender.com.

Home school graduates should request a letter from their local school district’s superintendent’s office confirming the exact date of completion of an approved homeschool plan and that the student is not participating in school-sponsored activities. If you have not submitted a homeschool plan for the academic year, please reach out to the Office of Admission for assistance.

3. Complete Enrollment Checklist

Log back into your admission account to complete the required items on your admission and enrollment checklist.

Additional Details & Information

  • If you are applying to one of our health career programs, special health forms must be submitted to complete your application. Visit the health occupations admissions page for more details.
  • Some of our programs require a CORI check; if you received a CORI form in your acceptance packet, this must be completed and returned.
  • All full-time students (enrolled in 12 or more credits) and all full-time and part-time international students are required to submit an Immunization Form within 30 days of enrollment.
