Join GCC in our third annual celebration of first-generation college students! We’ll be spotlighting staff and faculty who were first-generation themselves when they started college. Stop by the Core Lobby on November 8 any time between 9:30am and 3pm to show your first-generation pride and celebrate your peers. A first-generation college student is often described as one whose parents or guardians do not have a four-year degree when the student starts college, but a 1st Gen student could be anyone who self-identifies as the first in their immediate family to attend college.
