Cartoon artists Violet Kitchen and Rachel Bivens will talk about the exhibit Breaking the Frame, a collection of comics from over fifteen contemporary cartoonists and graduates of the Center for Cartoon Studies in White River Junction, VT. Together, they explore how comics as a medium defies conventional formal structure, challenges our relationship to time and fosters a unique and powerful space for storytelling, empathy and transgression.
