Intro to Virtual Theater

Local playwright and virtual theater producer Dr. Jack Tierney (a.k.a, Jack McT) defines and describes the current state of the art of virtual theater and introduces a follow-up eight-week webinar “How to Produce your Play for Virtual (Zoom) Theater.” This free intro webinar is specially designed for aspiring or experienced playwrights with little or no background in virtual theater. Because the outcome goal of the workshop is that each participant will produce a virtual staged reading of their own original play, this intro event will also involve a viewing of a virtual staged reading of a new play as an outcome model and example for participants, with a general Q&A to follow. Workshop group and individual sessions for the full eight-week online workshop run Wednesday evenings in October and November beginning 10/5. Learn more here, apply to participate in the full workshop series here, or try before you buy—RSVP for the Zoom link to the intro session!
