Overview

Stone Soup Café (SSC) is a 501(c)(3) organization serving the residents of Franklin County from our location at All Souls Church in downtown Greenfield. Our work centers on two core programs: our Pay-What-You-Can Saturday Meal and Everybody’s Community Store.

We are offering a part-time internship for a candidate eager to apply their skills to community-centered work. This role provides hands-on experience in nonprofit administration, including data management, Google Workspace, event planning, and weekly meal service support.

The intern will work closely with the Director of Community Engagement to support in-house and off-site events, with a primary focus on our 15th Birthday Celebration & Volunteer Appreciation (June 14th) and our annual Harvest Supper (August 22nd).

Intern Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

● Events: Assist in planning and supporting the 15th Birthday/Volunteer Appreciation event and the annual Harvest Supper.

● Administration: Provide office support, including data entry and organizational tasks.

● Operations: Support on-site meal service and day-to-day Cafe activities as needed that are directly related to events.

● Attendance: Must be available for the following key events:

○ Sunday, June 14, 2026 – Volunteer Appreciation Event

○ Saturday, August 22, 2026 – Harvest Supper

Preferred Qualifications

Qualifications:

● A strong interest in event planning.

● Proficiency in Google Workspace and spreadsheets (Data management).

● Excellent writing and verbal communication skills.

● Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

● Comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

● Enthusiastic about engaging with and supporting volunteers.
