Arts Education Intern Overview Artspace Greenfield invites internship applicants for our 2026 Summer Youth Program. Our summer intern will serve a vital role in supporting our week-long youth art programs, serving as a TA during arts instruction and as group leader during breaks. Youth programs are capped at 8 students, and each week serves either ages 7-11 or 12-15. Intern Responsibilities Seasonal schedule Weeks of July 6th, 13th, 20th, and 27th Either 3 days/ week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) or 5 days/week (Monday - Friday) Additional weeks in August are possible but not confirmed until May Daily schedule Start between 8:30 - 11am (exact time determined during hiring; week of July 27th is a later start time, likely 11:30) TA visual arts for the morning Be the primary group leader for morning snack & lunch Help lead transitions between activities TA visual arts and then ceramics for the afternoon Help clean up Finish between 3:30 - 4pm Preferred Qualifications Must-haves Experienced with and/or interest in experience with K-12 education Daytime availability Successful CORI (provided by Artspace) Appropriate wardrobe for working with art supplies Confidence in groups Good to have A repertoire of or interest in leading games during movement breaks Interest in visual arts education Interest in ceramics education Experience as a camp counselor, classroom teacher, et cetera Hours Per Week 5-10 Desired Outcomes Experience/skill development provided by this internship Classroom management K-12 arts education art project development youth art studio operations ceramic studio operations arts organization administration communication youth development Compensation Unpaid
