Overview

Join a vibrant, local media non-profit in southern Vermont that is looking to grow and expand its impact on the community. Seeking applicants in any of the following: journalism, ad sales, and newsletter writing/distribution. Vermont Independent Media operates two newspapers, in Brattleboro  (The Common News) and Wilmington (The Deerfield Valley News).

Intern Responsibilities

The internship could be focused on writing creative nonfiction as a journalist, writing and distributing the newsletter, or on ad sales and marketing. A wide range of opportunities are available. If you want experience in the media, please inquire, and Vermont Independent Media will help co-create an internship for you.

Preferred Qualifications

Be coachable, collaborative, skeptical, and always seeking new information. Some experience in design and print/page layout is helpful.
