Planning & Outdoor Recreation Tourism Intern Overview The Franklin Regional Council of Governments (FRCOG) is currently accepting applications for an internship position to assist with an Outdoor Recreation Inventory and Tourism project. The FRCOG is creating a comprehensive inventory of its many outdoor recreation amenities as part of a regional and statewide tourism project. The product will be an outdoor recreation website to promote tourism that will be modeled after this website: https://berkshiresoutside.org/. To support this effort, the Intern will be writing enticing, web-friendly content describing the county’s 300+ outdoor recreation amenities. Additional tasks, as time allows, would include conducting desktop research on recreation amenities and taking pictures of sites, such as trailheads, recreation areas, and parking lots. Intern Responsibilities Preferred Qualifications The successful candidate has excellent writing skills and is organized, research-oriented, and self-directed. Familiarity with Franklin County outdoor recreation facilities is a benefit. The position can be a combination of remote and in person, but reports weekly progress updates to project management team. Hours Per Week 5-15 Desired Outcomes Compensation $20/hour
