Tuition rates are calculated based on your residency status.

In-State Students

The following rates apply to Massachusetts state residents and to all students taking evening, online, summer, and intersession courses, regardless of residency. Please refer to our
tuition & fee chartexplanation of fees, or tuition calculator for a more accurate estimate of your cost of attendance.

An in-state resident is a U.S. citizen or permanent resident who has established and maintained continuous residency in Massachusetts for at least six months immediately prior to enrollment. Proof of residency and intent to remain in the state is required.

New England Residents Outside of Massachusetts

Through the New England Board of Higher Education (NEBHE), GCC allows eligible students from other New England states to attend at a reduced tuition rate. These students pay 150% of the Massachusetts resident tuition rate, which is lower than standard out-of-state tuition.

  • Enroll in a degree or certificate program that is:
    • Not offered at a two-year community college in your home state, or
    • Not offered at a Massachusetts community college closer to your home
  • Tuition: $39 per credit
  • College Service Fee: $204
  • Total: $243 per credit
Students Outside of New England

If you do not qualify for in-state residency or New England Board of Higher Education, you will be charged the out-of-state rate.

  • Tuition: $281 per credit
  • College Service Fee: $204
  • Total: $485 per credit
