Dusty Rader is a Master of Library and Information Science student at Simmons University and is serving at Greenfield Community College as the Simmons West Fellow. He holds a bachelor of English from the University of Vermont and a Master of Arts in Teaching from Central Connecticut State University. He has experience in teaching at both the high school and collegiate levels. Most recently, Dusty has worked with diverse populations in the DEI departments at Central and Southern Connecticut State Universities, and continues to work with the non-profit Q Plus, which supports queer youth in Connecticut. His work goals, beyond becoming a librarian, involve working at an educational institution, working with virtual, augmented, and mixed realities, and serving diverse populations. He is very excited to work with the GCC library staff and support the GCC community.
