Lyrical Faith Poetry & Spoken Word Workshop (Online)

Hands-on, interactive workshop with Lyrical Faith, a Bronx native and globally acclaimed Black American Educator, Activist, and Spoken Word Poet, who began her award-winning journey at age 12. As the 3rd Ranked Woman Poet in the 2022 Women of the World Poetry Slam, she co-founded Harlem’s longest-running open mic in 2012 and leads Poetry for Service, a nonprofit offering artistic outlets for underserved voices. Also the founder of Black Greek Poets, Faith received accolades like the 2015 Poet of the Year at Syracuse University and the 2016 Syracuse University Martin Luther King Jr. Unsung Hero Award.

Beyond her performances, Lyrical Faith is actively involved in community leadership and education, holding positions in public service organizations and serving as a teaching artist. With degrees in Public Relations and Sociology from Syracuse University (’16) and a Master’s in Higher Education & Student Affairs from New York University (’18), she tours, facilitates workshops, curates events, mentors youth, and stays active in her sorority (Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.). She also co-produces Valley Voices Storytelling Slam with New England Public Media at the Academy of Music Theatre in Northampton, MA, embodying her dedication to inspire, educate and advocate for intersectional and institutional issues through the fusion of arts and activism with a faith-based worldview.
