Ability to learn and follow basic food safety protocols. Position may involve lifting bags and boxes that can be 20lbs or greater and also reaching up, bending, and crouching down to organize items. The individual will provide pantry information to students, help pantry users complete signup, and log visits. Must be comfortable using a computer and learning new software systems. It is important that this individual is able to maintain confidentiality and skilled at making visitors feel comfortable. Observe and listen to visitors to suggest new events, ideas, or improvements to the pantry to the pantry supervisor. Understanding of the complexities of food insecurity a plus. This individual will be responsible for staffing the pantry during normal operating hours, so must be dependable and work consistent shift hours each week.
