Zoom in Moodle for Students

GCC provides faculty with Zoom accounts, so they can add video conference meetings to their Moodle classrooms.

Users of Windows and Macintosh computers must install the client software before joining a Zoom meeting. Look for "Zoom Client for Meetings" on Zoom's Download Center.
If you are using a Chromebook to connect to a Zoom meeting, then you can install the launcher for the App Store.  Details are on Zoom's "Getting Started on Chrome OS"page.

If you cannot install the Zoom client software
on your computer (for example if you are using a computer at your workplace or if you are a Chromebook user, but do not want to install the launcher), you may join a Zoom meeting by following the "click here" link you see when the Zoom meting launches. If you join the meeting via the web, then you must join the audio using a telephone. Call the number and enter the code displayed in the dialog box. You will hear the audio of the meeting through your telephone as you see the video on your screen.

This video from Zoom shows how you connect to a Zoom meeting. In the video, the link to the meeting is in a Gmail message. GCC students will follow a similar link from inside a Moodle classroom, but the steps for access the meeting are the same:
