Students in 161 Computer Arts Foundation have been experimenting with flatbed scanners! Together, they’ve been exploring how we make the dimensional world digital, and how we might glitch, skew, and interfere with that moment of translation. Here are just a few examples of the results 🌀

The Cesar Melgar exhibit is being held over for a few more days! Come visit the south gallery soon before we deinstall on Monday 12/15. His photographs are a sweet/sad poem about the Ironbound section of Newark NJ as it crumbles – hurtling toward gentrification.

Please join us for Portfolio Day on Thursday, October 23rd, 9am -1pm. Representatives from art schools will be providing information about their programs and reviewing portfolios. All are welcome to attend. This will be held in the Core Lobby (outside of the cafeteria). Participating schools: UMass, Amherst, UMass, Lowell, Westfield State, Hartford Art School, School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Monserrat College of Art, Maine College of Art and Pratt.
