The Art Department welcomes our new full-time colleague, KELLY CLARE!

Kelly Clare (they/she) is an artist and poet based in Western Massachusetts. Their artwork, scholarship, and poetics often question the boundaries between digital technology and materiality, and the environmental consequences of hidden infrastructure. Kelly received her MFA from the Sculpture & Intermedia program at the University of Iowa and she has exhibited both nationally and internationally. Author of the chapbook NEARLY EARLY ARTLY NEVER (greying ghost 2024), their literary work appears in FENCE, The Digital Review, Prelude, and Ugly Duckling’s Second Factory. She is an editor at Ghost Proposal, a press focusing on work that exists beyond genre.

The Art Department couldn’t be better situated, on the South side next to the absolutely gorgeous permaculture gardens. This blanket of native wildflowers in full bloom is teeming with life right now. Be sure to park in the E lot, walk slowly and look to your left to enjoy this beauty and goodness.
By the way, F lot is closed this semester! @gccpermaculture @gccgreenfield
