Membership Bylaws

The Diversity Standing Committee shall consist of 13 members:

• 4 members elected from the Academic & Student Affairs unit;
• 1 member elected from the Administrative Services unit;
• 2 members elected at large from the College Assembly;
• 1 adjunct faculty member elected by adjuncts or appointed by the GCCPA;
• 2 members appointed by the President of the College;
• 3 student seats:
  • 1 student member appointed by the Student Senate;
  • 2 student members elected or appointed under the auspices of the Chief Academic and Student Affairs Officer.
• The Executive Director of Human Resources/Chief Diversity Officer serves as the Administrative Liaison to the committee (non-voting).

There are three (3) vacant student positions. Membership:

• Alexandra Carley, Dean of Workforce Development -- (1 of 2) members appointed by the President of the College
• Christine Jones Monahan, DSC Chair, English Chair and Faculty -- (1 of 2) members appointed by the President of the College;
• Denise Anderson, Enrollment Services Assistant -- (1 of 4) member elected from the Academic & Student Affairs unit;
• Tamatha Gaumnitz, Dual Enrollment Advisor -- (1 of 4) member elected from the Academic & Student Affairs unit;
• Cindy Snow, Co-Coordinator, Peer Tutoring Program-- (1 of 4) member elected from the Academic & Student Affairs unit;
• Kate Walker, Academic Advisor & Success Coach -- (1 of 4) member elected from the Academic & Student Affairs unit;
• William Salifu-Tex, Public Safety-- (1) member elected from the Administrative Services unit;
• Josh Becker, Psychology Faculty  -- (1 of 2) members elected at large from the College Assembly;
• Holly Kosisky, Coordinator of Student Success -- (1 of 2) members elected at large from the College Assembly;
• Caroline Dubinsky, librarian, adjunct faculty Art History -- (1) adjunct faculty member elected by adjuncts or appointed by the GCCPA;
• Eric Sumner, Executive Director of Human Resources/Chief Diversity Officer – Administrative Liaison to the committee. ex officio
• Peter Pavone, GCC Student, Student Senate Appointee (1)
