Fine arts gallery in downtown Greenfield seeking assistance.

Intern Responsibilities

• Art Deviation Gallery is interested in hiring an intern to manage and/or assist with:
• Social media marketing — using Facebook, Instagram, and Google to promote the Gallery. Possible website editing, design, and management.
• Retail store coverage — be in the Gallery for several hours during set days and for special events.
• Customer engagement — helping Gallery visitors with information about the artwork and artist.
• Organizing Gallery events — if we are participating in community events like the Art Walk, the intern would help as needed with promotion and attending meetings.
• Designing and installing Gallery art — assist with changing exhibits and hanging or arranging artwork.
• At this point, the intern would be given the minimum number of hours required by GCC (45), although more hours may be likely.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience and other qualifications include:
• An interest in the arts, retail store design, small business management, and social media marketing.
• Basic knowledge of social media marketing like posting on various platforms.
• Good writing skills, emotional maturity, and being comfortable communicating with the public will be useful to have in candidates.
• Website design and experience is a big plus.
