Website Management Intern

Overview

Under the direction of the Marketing Director and in accordance with the policies of Franklin County’s YMCA, the Intern will assist the Marketing Department with maintaining and optimizing FCYs website, developing and demonstrating an understanding of the YMCA mission, programs, and its impact on the community.

Intern Responsibilities

• Assist in management of wordpress website to improve site navigation and website design
• Monitor website performance and troubleshoot issues
• Collaborate on SEO and analytics initiatives
• Assist in documenting YMCA events through photography and writing.
• Gain general knowledge of all YMCA programs, events and camps.
• Participate in additional meetings and FCY-wide events as appropriate such as Healthy Kids Day, Golf Tournament, Strongman, etc.
• Assist the Marketing Director with any other functions deemed appropriate for the Intern.
• Exemplify the YMCA values of CARING, HONESTY, RESPECT AND RESPONSIBILITY in all aspects of job performance and in relationships with others.

Preferred Qualifications

The Website Management Intern should be pursuing a degree in Computer Information Systems, Website Design, Data Analytics or related field. Intern should have familiarity with major web analytics tools, such as Google Analytics. Intern should have excellent organizational skills as well as above average written and oral communication skills. Additional skills in photography and graphic design (Adobe Creative Suite or Canva) are preferred. Valid license and reliable transportation are required. Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs.

Compensation

$15-17/hour
