The library provides free admission to a variety of regional museums, historic sites, and attractions. Most passes are physical items available for pickup at the library’s front desk; some are also available as digital passes. Passes are available on a first-come, first-served basis to GCC students, staff, and faculty. Physical Passes Advanced reservations are not available. Passes must be picked up and returned at the library front desk. Passes have a seven-day loan period and cannot be renewed. Lost passes may result in a replacement fee. Digital Passes Digital museum passes are available only to GCC students, staff, and faculty. All pass requests must be submitted through the online form. Approved passes are sent via email. Each pass is valid only for the single date requested. Requests must be submitted at least 24 hours and no more than 72 hours in advance of the requested date. Requests are processed Monday–Friday during regular business hours. Digital passes are subject to availability and are not guaranteed. An anchor of southern Vermont’s cultural life, BMAC brings notable artists to Brattleboro while supporting the region’s creative community. Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art Amherst, MA Dedicated to celebrating and elevating picture book art, the Eric Carle Museum collects, preserves, and exhibits original artwork while fostering a lifelong appreciation for picture books. Historic Deerfield Deerfield, MA A museum dedicated to preserving the heritage of Deerfield and the Connecticut River Valley. Its historic houses, museums, and programs explore New England village life and regional history. The pass admits four people. Massachusetts Department of Conservation & Recreation Locations throughout MA Explore Massachusetts’ state parks, forests, beaches and historic sites through the DCR system. The pass provides free parking for one vehicle at more than 50 day-use state park facilities that charge a parking fee. The pass is not valid for buses, 15-passenger vans, camping, or parking at Quabbin Reservoir, Squantum Point, North Point, Newburyport, or Draw Seven Commuter Lots. MASS MoCA North Adams, MA One of the largest centers for contemporary art in the country, MASS MoCA features expansive galleries, immersive installations, and dynamic visual and performing arts programming. The pass admits two adults and two children under age 16. The pass is not valid for performing arts events or special events. Mount Holyoke College Art Museum Explore a collection of approximately 24,000 works of art and objects from around the world. The museum offers exhibitions and programs that connect art with learning across disciplines. Note: Closed for renovations until fall 2026. Museum of Fine Arts, Boston Explore nearly 500,000 works spanning thousands of years and cultures, from ancient artifacts to modern masterpieces. Community college students receive free admission through the Pozen Community College Access Program. A valid GCC Student ID Card is required. Smith College Museum of Art Explore more than 29,000 works of art and material culture from around the world, spanning a wide range of time periods and cultures. Free and open to the public.
