Norman Beebe 413-775-1333 Co-coordinator of the Peer Tutoring Program
Supervisor for tutoring in math, science, information technology and business

The Peer Tutoring Program is a free service, which strives to offer one-on-one peer tutoring for all courses at the college.  In the fall and spring semesters, tutors are available during fixed and flexible hours to meet the needs of students in math, science, information technology, and business courses. During our regular hours there are multiple appointment slots on weekdays and Saturdays, usually well over one hundred hours each week!  For summer and January courses, tutoring is provided as needed and "by appointment."

Appointments are available in person or virtually, in the Peer Tutoring suite, 4th floor core, M-F 9-3:30. Virtual appointments can also be scheduled for evenings and weekends, though requests for evening and weekend appointments must be submitted before 3:30 weekdays.

To make an appointment, use the "Request an Appointment" button to the right of this screen.  A tip sheet on using Google Meet is posted there as well. Questions? Email Peer Tutoring at , or call 413-775-1330. We will communicate via phone, text, and GCC email.

Math Studio

The Math Studio, located in North 402, is a community of math learners where students are encouraged to work with others on their course assignments.  It’s staffed by members of the math faculty, and during posted times, any GCC math student may get assistance with math.  The  Math Studio offers online and in-person support.  Check the Math Studio webpage for information and updates, including a Guide to Remote and Online Math Classes, a Zoom How-to Guide, and a schedule of the math studio's virtual hours: https://www.gcc.mass.edu/math/studio/.

Graphing calculator rental program

Graphing calculator rentals are offered to GCC students through the library.  These rentals are typically provided for students who may not need the graphing calculator beyond a single term.  We are currently renting TI-83 Plus and TI-84 Plus graphing calculators for a fee of $30.00 for the fall or spring term and $15.00 for summer session I or summer session II.
