Jonathan Mark Jackson: Gone, and therefore Vanished from the Face of the Earth

January 24 – February 23

Gone, and therefore Vanished from the Face of the Earth brings together new figurative landscape photographs and soundscape work by Jonathan Mark Jackson. Working at the intersection of documentary practice and critical fabulation, these photographs extend his engagement with Black geographies and Black historical memory in New England. Jonathan Mark Jackson (b. 1996) received a BA from Amherst College, and an MFA in Photography from the Rhode Island School of Design. He is currently a Visiting Assistant Professor of Photography at Boston College.
