Massachusetts Emergency Fund

The Emergency Fund Pilot program provides financial assistance to students for unexpected or untimely expenses. The purpose of the fund is to assist is students in good academic standing who are experiencing short-term financial emergencies so that they can remain enrolled and continue their studies. Priority is given to Pell-eligible and underrepresented students.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Must be a legal US citizen;
  • Must be a legal resident of Massachusetts with an established residency of at last 12-months or more;
  • Must have a completed FAFSA application and demonstrated need according to federal Title IV regulations;
  • Must be enrolled at least 6-credit hours or more;
  • Must be in good academic standing;
  • Must be eligible for Federal Title IV aid;
  • Be enrolled as of fall of 2021 and have not earned a first bachelor’s degree;
  • Must be matriculated into an eligible degree or certificate program.
