Advanced Placement (AP) Test Credit

Advance Placement (AP) exams are the culmination of Advance Placement courses that students take in high school. Students may earn varying amounts of college credits based on tests taken and scores earned. The chart below details what transfer credit is given at GCC. In order to get transfer credit for AP exams, students need to have an official copy of their test scores sent to GCC. Information about ordering scores can be found here. GCC’s four digit number is 3420. For the purposes of determining course placement, you may provide an unofficial copy of your scores to your advisor. To access your unofficial score report, you can follow the “View your scores” instructions on the AP Scores section of the College Board website linked here. Please note that you will need your College Board account username and password to get your scores.
