Students applying for admission to GCC who have attended other post-secondary institutions must submit official transcripts from those institutions to Enrollment Services at the time of application. Official transcripts are required of all GCC students. GCC's transfer credit policies align with the Massachusetts Community College Transfer Principles. Credit is generally awarded based on the following criteria: Coursework is completed at an institution accredited by one of the seven regional accreditation agencies in the US Coursework is complete with a minimum grade of C- Coursework is similar in content to courses offered at GCC GCC requires that students submit official transcripts in order to be considered for transfer credit. Transcripts must be sent either electronically to admission@gcc.mass.edu or via postal mail. Transcripts must be received directly from the sending institution in order to be considered official. Once a transcript is evaluated you will receive an email notification indicating which, if any, credits were accepted/awarded.
