Technology Delivery Policy

The library is committed to providing students with access to basic technology to facilitate completion of GCC coursework. Mail delivery of technology is available to students who are currently enrolled in a GCC course, have a library card in good standing, and are not able to pick up items from the library in person. Students should have extenuating circumstances, and delivery requests should not be made simply for the sake of convenience.

As with all library items, borrowers may designate another person to pick up technology from the library on their behalf, as long as arrangements are made ahead of time.

At this time, the library will only mail Wi-Fi hotspots and Chromebooks. These items are loaned for the entire semester. Students are responsible for returning these items by the due date.

Items may be returned by mail using a provided FedEx return label; students are responsible for securely packaging items and following provided instructions. Items may also be returned in person at the front desk of the library during regular service hours.

Wi-Fi hotspots and Chromebooks will be disabled if not returned, and the student will be responsible for the replacement cost of all items borrowed.
