Museum Passes launching in Spring 2026...stay tuned!

Our museum passes provide free admission to a variety of regional museums, historic sites, and attractions. Most passes are physical items borrowed from the library, and some are also available as digital passes.

How Museum Passes Work

Passes are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Physical Passes

  • Advanced reservations are not available
  • Must be picked up and returned at the library front desk
  • 7-day loan
  • Lost passes may result in a replacement fee

Digital Passes

  • Requests are submitted online and passes are delivered via email
  • Pass valid for single requested date only

  • Pass benefit: Free parking for one vehicle at over 50 day-use state park facilities that charge a parking fee
  • Pass not valid for buses, 15-passenger vans, camping, or at Quabbin Reservoir, Squantum Point, North Point, Newburyport, or Draw Seven Commuter Lots

One of the largest centers for contemporary art in the country, MASS MoCA features expansive galleries, immersive installations, and dynamic visual and performing arts programming.

  • Pass admits: 2 adults and 2 children (under 16)
  • Pass not valid for performing arts events or special exhibition openings

Museum Passes from CWMARS Libraries

  • Our CWMARS partner libraries offer museum passes to a wide range of regional museums, historic sites, and other attractions. A complete list of available passes can be accessed through the library catalog.

Museum of Fine Arts, Boston

  • Community college students receive free admission through the Pozen Community College Access Program. A valid GCC student ID card is required.
