The Spelt Flour Bakery is currently a wholesale operation in the process of opening a retail outlet on Miles Street in Greenfield. We are looking for a student intern who will primarily assist in finalizing our business plan and, if there is time, helping to develop a website. Some participation in day to day activities will help the student gain an understanding of the business. In due course, we may introduce online sales.

Intern responsibilities

Participate in winter market to gain understanding of business
Confer with owner on plans, financials, and marketing decisions.
Write the business plan with input and approval of owner.
Confer with faculty on appropriate content and language of business plan.
If time remains, develop language and possible platform for website.

Required intern qualifications

Second year business student.
Excellent written communication skills.
Interest in healthy food production and marketing.
Interest in local economy.
Demonstrated understanding of business plan.

Desired outcomes of internship

Successful business plan that owner can present to the business support organization from which he will secure business loans.

Compensation: Compensation for tuition ($270) upon successful completion of business plan.
