A student who is seeking readmission to the nursing program must meet the admission policies as published and current at the time the student seeks to return. Please refer to the nursing admission policy and requirements at the time of application.

Eligibility

• Readmission is contingent upon space availability
• Readmission is limited to students who have officially withdrawn from or failed one nursing semester
• Application for readmission is accepted if no more than two admission cycles have passed since last enrollment
• Students will be considered for one readmission to the program
• Students must maintain an overall GCC GPA of 2.0.
• If a student repeats a course with a clinical component, they must enroll in both the lecture and clinical sections (e.g., repeating NUR 101C requires taking both 101A and 101C)
• Students dismissed for academic integrity or code of conduct violations will not be eligible for readmission

Readmission Application Process

• Students must reapply to Greenfield Community College if needed and meet all college- and program-specific admission requirements
• A student who is seeking readmission to the program must meet the admission policies as published and current at the time the student seeks to retur.
• Students who have left the program for any reason and are requesting readmission into the program must submit a letter electronically to the Dean of Nursing that addresses the following:
  • The semester you are petitioning to re-enter
  • The reasons and conditions which led to your withdrawal from the program
  • Specific nursing education activities and courses that you intend to complete before re-entering the program
  • A plan that outlines exactly how you intend to ensure your success in the program this time.

Deadlines

• Applications for readmission must be submitted to the Office of Admission by
  • March 1 for readmission in the fall semester
  • October 1 for readmission in the spring semester
