All nursing students must have health insurance coverage throughout the program. This is also a clinical requirement. Students will be required to cover the costs of medical assessment or treatment for any illnesses or conditions incurred during their time in the program. Massachusetts state law requires that students carrying nine (9) or more credits must be covered by medical insurance. Any student carrying nine (9) or more credits who is not enrolled in a medical plan may purchase the Massachusetts Community college Student Accident and Sickness Insurance. Options are available for purchasing coverage for all family members.

Any student covered by an outside health insurance provider may waive the health insurance charge and must submit proof of comparable coverage to Student Financial Services. Uninsured students who are Massachusetts residents should go to mass.gov and follow the links for state-administered insurance plans and other new health insurance resources.
