Student Representation ID: 606 GCC’s nursing programs include student representatives to ensure that student voices are heard in the continuous improvement of the program. These representatives foster open communication between students and faculty, providing valuable feedback on curriculum, policies, and the overall student experience. Their involvement promotes collaboration, enhances the learning environment, and helps shape a program that is responsive to the evolving needs of students and the healthcare profession. Responsibilities of the Student Representative Represent the student body to provide a fair, accurate and appropriate status update to nursing administration and faculty in order to improve the learning experience Act as a key contact between faculty and class members regarding safety, facilities, student welfare needs and program and curriculum updates Maintain confidentiality and adhere to data protection of shared information Attend monthly faculty meetings Bring ideas, interests and concerns of their classmates to the meeting Report back to the class regarding what was decided and plans moving forward Prepare for meetings by reviewing the agenda and other pertinent anticipated topics Student representatives are subject to the same rules and regulations as other students.
