Program History ID: 630 Greenfield Community college’s Associate Degree Nursing program was the first associate degree program for nursing established in a Massachusetts community college in 1963. Upon the closing of the Diploma School at Franklin Medical Center in Greenfield, the ADN program has enjoyed a close association with Baystate Franklin Medical Center and the greater community throughout the 60 year history of the program. The degree program earned National League for Nursing Accreditation in 1982 and was reaccredited in 1991, 1999 and 2007. The program’s current accreditation was awarded by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) in 2015. This accreditation has been continued through 2023.
